Recycle NB developed the bicycle tire and tube recycling program with the help of the Canadian Independent Bicycle Retailers Association, the province’s bike shops, tire retailers and Tire Recycling Atlantic Canada Corporation (TRACC), in Minto, New Brunswick.
There is no cost to bicycle retailers to participate in the program. Please contact Recycle NB to find out how to properly bundle the tires and tubes for processing.
This is a voluntary program and Recycle NB is paying the costs associated with collecting, transporting and recycling the tires and tubes. Therefore, you do not charge the consumer a fee to recycle old bicycle tire and tubes.
If your bicycle shop wants to participate in the bicycle tire and tube recycling program, please contact our office and register as a bike shop that offers bike tire and tube recycling. We will list you on our Website to let the public know you are participating in the program.
